About IDeA

The IDeA (Center for Research on Individual Development and Adaptive Education of Children at Risk) was founded by the German Institute for International Educational Research (DIPF) and Goethe Universität Frankfurt. The center explores processes of individual development and learning. At the center scientists examine social and neurocognitive risks in the development of children.
The following pages provide you with more information about the IDeA center, its participating institutions and the way in which we investigate the learning and developmental processes of children.
In an article for the journal "Forschung Frankfurt" of Goethe Universität, Prof. Dr. Andreas Gold, the Deputy Scientific Coordinator of the IDeA center, outlines social and neurocognitive factors in learning behavior of children (pdf only in German).
