The focal point of the IDeA center is the study of individual development and learning support. The acronym IDeA stands for "Individual Development and Adaptive Education of Children at Risk". IDeA's daily research is characterized by innovative longitudinal designs, realized in cooperation between different disciplines. Quantitative and qualitative methods are used individually and in combination in order to achieve the most comprehensive picture possible of the processes of child development.
The following pages provide you with information about the IDeA center, the questions it addresses, its research designs and initial findings. The pages also introduce the individual IDeA projects dealing with different aspects of child learning.
